Klimaatverandering 45

'-----Oorspronkelijk bericht-----Van: The Economist [mailto:publisher-admin@news.economist.com] Verzonden: maandag 9 oktober 2006 16:00. Onderwerp: A survey on climate change compliments of Dow

Dear Economist reader,
The Economist has just published a 16-page special report entitled "The heat is on: a survey on climate change" that is being made available to you with the compliments of The Dow Chemical Company. Written by the Deputy Editor, Emma Duncan, the report argues that although the science remains uncertain, the chances of serious consequences are high enough to make it worth spending the (not exorbitant) sums needed to try to mitigate climate change.
You will be happy to know that this survey, which generated about 118 tonnes of carbon dioxide from flights, car journeys, paper production, printing and distribution, has been carbon-neutralised through the Carbon Neutral Company. The cost was £590; the money was spent on capturing methane from an American mine.Click here to download the PDF
